Vancouver's popular west side is renouned for its amazing mountain vistas, wonderful parks,  including a best kept secret, Pacific Spirit Park (the largest inner city park in the world, a stand of giant Douglas Firs, with  countless jogging and hiking trails), VanDusen Gardens, Queen Elizabeth Park and also great beaches such as Jericho Beach, Spanish Banks and Kits Beach.  The west side's popularity is also well based in its' many shopping districts such as Kerrisdale, West 4th Avenue, the Point Grey Village, South Granville and Granville Island. Most of the city's best restaurants are located in our west side neighbourhoods.  As well, the west side is an ideal setting for those who love to sail, kayak, jog, take a yoga class, go roller blading, cycling, golfing, play some beach volleyball, or just hang out in a great book store.

In and near the Point Grey Village you will discover some of the city's best restaurants, boutique shopping, bakeries, delis, gift shops, grocery and produce stores, wine and liquor stores, cafÈs and coffee houses, tea houses, an international newspaper outlet and much more.    UBC is a 25 minute walk, a faster jog, a still faster cycle ride or a few minutes on the express bus.  Two blocks to the north is Trimble Street Park with amazing vistas of the city, another great spot from which to watch the fireworks during the several summer festivals. Pacific Spirit Park, 763 hectres of wilderness parkland with hundreds of jogging and walking trails, is entered only  a few blocks from either facility.   Jericho Beach and Spanish Banks, the city's best beaches, are also very nearby.
