If you are looking for the big downtown hotel experience, don't bother staying here. If you want something more interesting and more representative of Vancouver itself (and a lot less expensive), then do bother staying here. You'll be at home in one of Vancouver's best neighbourhoods. At home means in your own separate flat, with access to a lush garden and the whole UBC area. Neville and Mariette are unfailingly helpful, responsive and friendly. This was a perfect homebase for us during our week in Vancouver. Thanks for everything, and see you again sometime soon.

As for Vancouver's weather, we have absolutely no complaints, we flew out on Sunday with the sky shining brightly. I was struck by the beauty of Vancouver. We also made it to Seattle, and up to Whistler as well. Michel and I feel especially lucky to have wandered upon you web site. It was a real treat to have stayed in a residential area of Vancouver instead of a hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and I am already planning our next visit. We'll be in touch and thanks again for the wonderful accommodation. It was a treat!

We enjoyed 4 sublime days in Vancouver and Casa Mora was a big part of the treat. The suite felt like a movie set - with high ceilings and curtains to match, an open layout, great sunny balconies and views, and wonderful artistic touches. Mariette and Neville made us feel welcome and allowed us abundant space and privacy. As a lesbian I am always senstive to whether an atmosphere is "gay-positive" and I felt very at home at Casa Mora. WOW! We enjoyed ourselves tremendously at Casa Mora, and I've been telling all my friends here in Calgary to avoid hotels and stay at the most beautiful bed & breakfast in Vancouver. We especially loved the fact that, because you are within walking & bus distance of everything (Granville Island, suspension bridge, downtown Van, Art Museum, university, beaches, etc.), we didn't need to spend money on a rental car during this part of our trip! It was heavenly to finish a long day of "touristy" stuff and sight-seeing by coming home to a relaxing hot tub, friendly hosts and a super-comfortable bed. And I loved exploring all the treasures and beautiful surprises of your garden. You have a beautiful home, and we thank you for sharing it with us.

Wir sind wieder zu Hause gelandet, denken aber noch sehr gerne und oft an die kurze Zeit in Vancouver zurück. Besonders beeindruckt waren wir von Eurem schönen Haus, vor allem aber von der künstlerisch gestalteten "Penthouse Suite". Jedes der wunder-schönen Details ist für sich ein Kunstwerk und offensichtlich mit sehr viel Liebe gemacht. Sowohl die bleiverglasten Fenster als auch die Gemälde, das rustikale Badezimmer, das traumhafte "Himmelbett" und die herrlichen Terrassen mit dem schönen Ausblick auf den Garten. Die Lage ist ebenfalls ideal, in der Nähe der bekannten Strände und unweit von der Stadt. Es gibt keinen besseren Platz, in Vancouver einige Tage zu verbringen. Wir kommen wieder.

Foxglove and Bee in Pacific Spirit Park
Thanks for our stay in the wonderful Penthouse Suite as we stopped for Vancouver on our way to Haida Gwaii. Lovely neighbourhood for walking, we loved the shadowy forest of the nearby Pacific Spirit Park. Thanks for suggesting to dine at Wabi Sabi restaurant - a lovely peaceful atmosphere with delicious seafood, just perfect. Hope to see you again.

Nous avons apprecié Stanley Park et Granville Island. Pour le shopping (c’est pas moi,

Thanks for giving us all the right leads that made for a fabulous time in Vancouver and beyond. We think we worked it out perfectly, staying in the Magnolia Room on arrival when we just had three nights - that gave us a head start, over breakfast conversations, on the routes to travel on B.C.'s winter roads, and what to do and see in Vancouver before leaving. Then, when we got back to the city, we stayed for a week in your amazing Penthouse! It is so beautiful, and so comfortable, that it was hard to leave. We are planning our next trip!
