Our neighbourhood, West Point Grey, is in the city of Vancouver itself, not an outlying area. Many B & B's claim to be in Vancouver but are actually in an outlying municipality. We are close to the downtown core and walking or cycling distance to the University of British Columbia. Granville Street is 3 bus stops from the Point Grey Village on the 99 express bus which stops on West 10th Avenue & Sasamat street. There is also an express bus on 4th avenue and another on 41st avenue.
At nearby UBC (the University of British Columbia) you will find Olympic size and larger swimming pools, tennis courts, the Nitobe Gardens, the UBC Botannical Gardens, The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts, the UBC Museum of Anthropology which is one of the city's most visited venues. Also, UBC is the site of the Winter Sports Centre, one of the major venues for the upcoming 2010 Winter Olympics which will be hosted in our beautiful city.
