The Penthouse is a spectacular suite, a spectacular place to stay in our spectacular city! The north balcony is covered and has an excellent view of the north shore mountains including Cypress Bowl and Grouse Mountain, the local ski hills. The sunny south-facing balcony is quite large, partially covered and furnished with a Mexican hammock, a two seater wrought iron Mexican rocker and a wrought iron and glass table and chair set, a barbecue and a sunbrella. |

This suite has a well equipped kitchenette, dining area and private entrance via a stairwell from the south deck off the main level at the rear (south side) of the house, affording easy access to the hot tub and garden. Both balconies open off the main inside living area which has an adobe gas fireplace and is furnished with cushioned cane chairs, a Mongolian raw wool carpet, an Italian leather loveseat, etc.

There is also a cozy window seat with a futon mattress, a great place to curl up and read a book. From the loveseat, one looks onto the south balcony which is draped in Virginia Creeper vines which turn crimson red in the autumn.
The Penthouse has a TV, multichannel cablevision and wireless high speed internet is available so bring your laptop! DVD rentals are available on 10th Avenue, 2 blocks from Casa Mora.
The bedroom area is under a 14 foot vaulted ceiling and is an extension of, and is not partitioned from the main living space. Instead, heavy fabric curtains, hung from decorative wrought iron rods surround the King size bed, thus maintaining the views throughout the suite. The feeling is one of wonderful space and light. Your comfort is guaranteed in the king size bed which is topped with a hight quality featherbed, a goose down duvet and lots of fluffy, oversized pillows. The ceiling over the bed is star spangled. Twin beds are available on request if requested at the time of booking.

The entrance to the Penthouse suite is via the kitchen with its south-facing French doors. Above these doors there is a transome of intricately carved wood from Indonesia. The kitchenette is furnished with a dining table and chairs, a refrigerator, Everpure microfiltration system providing fresh, pure water at the sink; a microwave oven and a two-burner Thermador gas cooktop.
The floors in the kitchen, living area, bedroom area and walk-in closet are Mexican tiles with marble and granite mosaic inlays at the thresholds of each room. The balcony floors are also finished with Italian tiles. |

Penthouse Suite

The bathroom has a large, well lit shower with a marble corner seat, two half walls of glass blocks, and an art glass shower door which presents Neville's image of a sandblasted palm tree. Above the pedestal sink is a mirror framed in beaten copper - more functional art by Neville West, artist, your host. The bathroom floor is finished in mosaic marble and granite. The walls are Italian and Brazilian tiles.
The Penthouse also has four beautiful refurbished stained glass windows and 14 foot vaulted ceilings over the kitchen and the bedroom area.
