 Pacific Spirit Park |
Jericho Beach, Locarno Beach and Spanish Banks are only 12 blocks from Casa Mora, all downhill. They are the most beautiful and clean beaches in the city, and again jogging, cycling and walking opportunities are plentiful or just sit on a log and watch our amazing sunsets. If you like to kayak, windsurf or sail, rentals are available at the Jericho Beach Sailing Centre.
 Point Grey Village Gardeners
|
Point Grey Park, also called Trimble Street Park by the locals, is located at 8th Avenue and Trimble Street. From this park you will have an amazing view of the city and the north shore mountains. If you are a keen gardener, the Point Grey Village Gardeners meet at this park on Mondays at 6 p.m. in the summer and they can educate you about the native plants they are using in their garden, which also features old flowering horticultural specimens, especially rhododendrons salvaged from demolition sites in the neighbourhood. Its a great spot for a picnic! Tables are available. In June of 2005 the poppies at the corner of 8th Avenue and Trimble Street were attracting photographers from far and wide. |
